About Pakala

Pakala Productions started in 2009 with three members. Karen Ankers, Peter Preston, and Alan Prile formed Pakala to explore their own artistic ideas and ambitions, whilst still remaining members of The Ucheldre Repertory Company in Holyhead. Following Alan’s departure to study drama in Salford, Pakala Productions now has only two full-time actors, although other people come and go on the acting and production fronts. They write, direct and perform plays which are thought-provoking and often challenging. They like to explore subjects which are often ignored, occasionally taboo, and enjoy working together as a creative team.
